Hey There
It's been over a year since I've posted and I am sorry. Life hit me a little hard and this isn't a promise you'll hear much from me after this.
I'm a sophomore at KSU now, and it's going well. I've decided on a Digital Broadcast Journalism degree with a minor in Spanish. I want to go into radio/news broadcast and spend the rest of my life doing the things I like and am good at: talking and writing. Kennesaw doesn't offer this particular program, so I am planning to transfer this fall into the University of Georgia. I will hear in the next two weeks whether I made it in or not.
Classes are going. I didn't study enough last semester and am desperately trying to obtain all A's this semester to keep my GPA above 3.3. It's going well so far.
I work as a cashier at Publix now and have done that for 6 months. I like the people and the job, but it's really tiring. Oftentimes, I work 9 hour shifts, which are a little difficult for me.
I sing at and lead spirit nights at the Catholic Center on campus on Thursday nights. Other than that, the musical side is being put on the back burner to make time for everything else.
Over the summer, I acted as a recurring extra on a TV show. That was an interesting experience that I'm not sure I'm going to repeat.
I am also playing intramural basketball with the Catholic Center at KSU. I stink at basketball so this will be interesting. I have very little hand-eye coordination.
In the most immediate past, it snowed a lot yesterday. I was working and they wouldn't send me home until the last minute. The roads were slick and full of snow, but my little manual Ford Focus made it okay <3. The usual ten minute drive took me around 45 minutes and included a lot of sliding around on the road.
Midterms are happening next week, so I'm going to go study. Peace.
